Why avoid junk foods during pregnancy?
As per the research, those pregnant women, who intake a larger amount of junk food could be putting them in a risk of breast cancer.
The researchers at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center reported that pregnant females that intake a fatty diet not only amplified the risk of breast cancer in their female daughters but also in their daughter’s offspring.
Researchers say they do not have any clue why this risk passed on through two generations, but they consider that it occurs through an unknown epigenetic modification that effect the increase in terminal end buds in breast tissue which in fact can be passed on through generations.
They believed that these buds might be structured where breast cancer can develop. They also add that as the grandmother consumes a diet that was 43 percent fatty, she did not intake more calories and both her daughters and granddaughters ate normal cuisine.
Examiners also found that risk not only extend from mother to daughter and granddaughter, but can also be transferred from mother to son and to granddaughter.
