Health Tips: Mushrooms effective in Cancer

The Chinese and Japanese delicacies generally include Mushrooms which has been found to be effective in the bladder and the prostate cancer as stated in a new study. The department of Urology at the New York Medical College did a research and scientists found that the mushroom can shrink the tumours up to 75%. They also found it may also lead to new treatments.
“The breakthrough research performed on the giant edible mushroom would help in improving the life of the cancer patients”, said the Lead Researcher Dr. Sensuke Konno who is the head of the Urology department at the NYMC.
The Daily Express also quoted Dr. Konno saying that, “it is very significant because the synergy not only enhances the efficacy of the treatment but also improves the quality of the life of the patients by reducing the dose of the conventional therapies significantly”. Read the rest of this entry »
